OREGON MUSEUM OF SCIENCE AND INDUSTRY
As a Northwest institution since 1944, OMSI needed an infusion of new brand energy to make science exciting, accessible, and sustainable for kids of all ages — from two to a hundred and two.

HISTORICALLY INFLUENTIAL
For more than eight decades, the Oregon Museum of Science & Industry (OMSI) has positioned itself as one of the largest science centers in the United States and consistently as one of the top two visited attractions in the Pacific Northwest.
For nearly 80 years, OMSI’s exhibits have been visited by tens of thousands annual visitors and toured to hundreds of institutions across the globe, from Shanghai to Boston to London. As a non-profit institution, OMSI's ongoing challenge included development and growth of truly sustainable exhibition programs that fulfill visitor needs, drive attendance, and generate revenue. OMSI also set goals to expand their adult-oriented programs and features, while maintaining their status as one of the top Northwest attractions for families each year.
As OMSI's Senior Designer and Creative Manager, I and my team set to work on revamping an outdated brand by utilizing updated imagery, reimagined content, and helped develop new family-oriented and adult-centered programs. We also revamped the museum experience with a redesigned museum interior and replaced time-worn exhibits with relevant, forward thinking exhibitions. The results included sold-out monthly adult-centric programs; a 175% increase in total yearly revenue over the subsequent 3 years; an increase in membership enrollment by 165% over 4 years; and an increase in adult participation by 300% over 3 years.
